A fresh new DLC for the ever-popular Dead Cells game

Dead Cells: The Queen and the Sea is a premium action title from developer Motion Twin. It's the latest DLC release for Dead Cells that introduces new late-game content that offers players an alternative path to take and a new biome to explore towards the end of their playthrough.

After multiple additional content with Dead Cells: The Bad Seed and Dead Cells: Fatal Falls comes Dead Cells: The Queen and the Sea, the fourth and biggest DLC so far. It introduces new enemies, a bunch of weapons and outfits to try out, and its toughest big baddie yet.

What's the deal this time around?

Following Dead Cells: Fatal Falls, Dead Cells: The Queen and the Sea continue the DLCs for the base game and serve as a late-game arrival and alternative path to the High Peak Castle, Derelict Distillery, and Throne Room biomes featured on its predecessors. This latest entry will have you battle your way through a rotten shipwreck, traverse a lighthouse, and face what could be your toughest opponent yet.

Of course, the game brings a slew of extras to help you bash the heads of the new enemies you'll face along the way. There are 9 new weapons that range from a throwable shark to a more "sensible" pirate hook hand. You even get a not-so-cute pet to tag along with you and new outfits to keep your runs fresh and stylish.

This should go without saying, but if you're new to this series or not, be aware that Dead Cells is an unapologetically tough game to play, and its DLCs are no different. As such, you'll most likely bump up against a rather high difficulty curve for some, if not, the entirety of your playthrough. That's one of the things that make it so addictive, though.

More of the same Dead Cells you know and love

If you're wondering if Dead Cells: The Queen and the Sea is any good, the simple answer to that is it's more Dead Cells. There's a reason why the series has been so popular with so many players, and if you're new to it, you'll understand why soon enough after you start playing. This is a no-brainer. Go play it.
